Follow our instruction video on how to install one of our My Handle privacy sets. The same applies to all of our privacy sets in our My Handle range using our My Latch. When using the My Magnetic Latch, the spindle is slightly different and you wont need to use a spring on either end.
- Install latch
- Push spindle provided with latch as shown until it can’t go any further
- Place rubber ring on spindle to prevent spindle from moving in and out
- Place My Base on both sides of the door as shown. Ensure that the notch for the cover plate faces the latch side and that there is a counter sink hole underneath the central stem for the grub screw of the handle. There should be an L or R written designating Right or Left
- Insert posts and screws and tighten
- Place cover plate over My Base
- Tighten grub screws on cover plates
- Place nylon washers over the top of the cover plates
- Install handles by placing them at a 45 degree angle and then twisting them down in order for them to be horizontal
- Tighten grub screw underneath the handles
- Install privacy button by screwing through hole in the cover plate
