How does a privacy door lock work?
A privacy door lock works when the occupant of a toilet, bathroom or any room for that matter closes the door. The lock is then activated by turning the thumb turn. This bolt throws hooks up and down for anti jimmying.
How do you unlock in case of an emergency?
This is quite simple. With a small flat head screw driver or table knife, insert into the slot at the center of the lock and just turn.
Will I need a fush pull handle as well?
No you won’t need any other door furniture as the lock has a more than adequate recess to allow it to be used as a flush pull.
It also comes with an end pull for doors that fully recess into the cavity when the door is in the open position.
Do you need a finger pull for flush finishing doors?
Our lock already comes with a finger pull (end pull) for the end part of the door. So when the door is fully pushed into the cavity, you just insert your finger into the end pull and pull. The door will then come out of its cavity.
